I just held them in the vice on my mill and manually machined them. It took a while.lol

It's not so bad when you are just doing it for yourself. I have had a few requests to make these buckets again but it really isn't cost effective for me or the customer when I am hand machining each tooth.lol It's much cheaper to buy a mass produced bucket from Magom HRC or do what you are doing and make your own. I would need to charge $250+ for a bucket and no one will want to pay that because there are cheaper alternatives.

Keep up the great work on your conversion!

Hi there,
I hope it is ok to post as form old from 2011.
What a great build. Iam going to do the same. I realise someone already asked the question. But iam looking at the Actuators but cant seem to find those ones can you please direct me to the site that you bought from. I found this site http://www.firgelli.com/L12_R_Linear...ol_p/l12-r.htm but can't find those sizes you stated. Greatly appreciated Brina

Made a offer on a carson track loader. Guy said he'll get back to me, if he doesn't take it I'm going to get the new Magom all metal 574 wheel loader.

Reg,

I had to go thru the entire thread again, really nice job! Love the rims and the bucket!

Question for you, did you consider separating the left and right side motors and adding a mix on the steering to control wheel spin? Wonder if anyone has done it that way? Would it add anything to the maneuverability or traction when pushing into a pile?

Thanks for all the info!

Jim

Funny you should mention it. I've actually got planned to try to do a super-minimal Liebherr 574 conversion where I'll try to not use a swing servo at all, just use mixing on the left and right side motors. And then flip the left/right motors on the front wheels compared to the back wheels. Of course, it won't work very well if any wheel lifts off the ground, but if the traction was good on all wheels, it would be ok, maybe. Can't know before it has been tested! ;-) I can always add a swing servo later if it doesn't work at all.

Also I was planning on testing out the new P16 actuators from Firgelli:
