Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
Nice updates. Like the Scania a lot - looks good pulling that trailer!
On the new king hauler, are the front wheels offset to the outside or are that very wide tires? |

Class of 66, my sticker guy made the 66 gold leaf decal 3years ago he thought it would look cool on the back of a King ;)

Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
Got my rearfenders cut tonight, still needs sanding and finish, fitted an servonaut motor/gearbox so it should be able to pull some weight now.

Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
Hi René, you do have a good eye for proportions. That rear fender looks spot on.
Not being familiar with these models, I noticed that the rear steering axle (?) seems to be a lift axle too. Any chance of a picture from underneath? (If it is not too much trouble) Stephan |
Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
Ill post a picture when i get home tonight Stephan

Here is a couple pics of how i made the tag axle. The springs come from a Tamiya reefer trailer and the front axle is just a standard Tamiya. I've been thinking bout putting a rigid axle on it. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...psgcywnx3d.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...psi3usarj1.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...psim0vlaoe.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...psbmlxw63h.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...psjkhsahoq.jpg |
Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
Hi René, thanks for the pictures, really appreciate that! Always nice to see what's under the hood.
I am surprised there is enough room under the front fenders for those fat tires to allow actual steering :) Stephan |

there isn't that much room, had to raise the cab about 2 mm for it to turn, it was ok when it had the mercedes wheels on the front axle, but the carson wheels grabbed the fender ;) |
Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
they're all great builds
