Re: Magirus 6x6 German tipper from the 1950s
looking really good cant wait to see it painted. how are you going to make it dump? hydraulics or screw drive?
|
Re: Magirus 6x6 German tipper from the 1950s
Quote:
screw drive, i have a new idea to do it, motor in the back and the screw under the dumping body, not in the frame. I think this will be more powerful. Best Regards Wolfgang |

Re: Magirus 6x6 German tipper from the 1950s
Hello all,
8mm threaded rod for the scrwe drive, lathed one side to 4 and the other to 5mm. To avoid damage of the screw, i used two hex nuts in the lathe. http://img3.fotos-hochladen.net/uplo...wq6n1yj83i.jpg http://img3.fotos-hochladen.net/uplo...kpxgrot68y.jpg In this picture, there is only a 5mm screw drive, but its able to lift a 6 kg hammer laying in the front of the dumping body- http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uplo...og5mfwtcdx.jpg One side of the dumping body: http://img3.fotos-hochladen.net/uplo...r0pkab3n1h.jpg Best Regards Wolfgang |
