question about a pete
ok your guys's and gals trucks are 1/12 right? ok what would be the measurements from a pete or kw day cab if it was in 1/10 scale? i need good pics and measurements please my lowboy will be 10 inches wide the wheels/axels of the truck will be ten inches wide but as far as the cab i have no clue and i know the tires will be close to 3 inches tall hmmmm might take a couple of motors to make this one go lol

Re: question about a pete
You could start with a Tamiya BullHead body, they are 1/10 scale.

Re: question about a pete
Clyde the Tamiya trucks are 1/14th and the tires are 3.25 in so if your going for 1/10th scale you will need some bigger tires close to 4.5 in. As for measurements on the cab i will have to get back to you unless someone beats me to it.

Re: question about a pete
I have been pondering on a lowboy / drop deck and a semi for my dozer and scraper and i want to build a rogers drop deck like the real one dad has and the truck i was thinking a pete or kw or a mack but i am liking the pete's and kw's slope stub nose's but yet i like the granite macks too so here i am lol

Re: question about a pete

Re: question about a pete
My dozer and the real dozer is wider than the trailer the real dozer is 8 inches wider than the trailer at the tracks my dozer is10 3/4' at the tracksso how wide would my tailer need to be ?
|
Re: question about a pete
as for the real dozer i am not shure lol been a while since i measured it
|
Re: question about a pete
the way i have been building is 1 1/4 of and inch is equal to 12 inches of the real thing ok thats how i have been scaling lol i donno what scale it really is but i know it is close to 1/10
|
Re: question about a pete
If your dozer is 1/10th scale then the trailer needs to be 9.95in to be a scale 8in narower than the dozer.

Re: question about a pete
My 1/12 scale excavator is 12 inches wide you 1/10 scale must be wider. Ed

Re: question about a pete
thats soooooo close to 10 inches lol right?i am no where close to bein exact I would definatly call that 10'' i think
|
Re: question about a pete
your excavator is wider the dozer is 10 3/4'' wide at the tracks your excavator is modeled after a huge excavator lol
|
Re: question about a pete
Kind of an odd scale to go with. 1.25" = 12" ?
Works out to be about 1/9.6th scale. |
Re: question about a pete
Ya Nathan I got 9.6 as well so I guess we will call it 1/10th scale.
