"The Outlaw" Steel Cowboy movie Western Star
hello everyone ..well i am adding another replica to my collection .i cannot take credit for the cab or the bunk work.a friend of mine did it for me although i have been waiting 1 year and 6 months for him to finish it.. it is going to take me less time to build my 95 Western Star anyway all aside i think he did an amazing job on the details especially on the mercury bunk .i drilled and tapped new frame rails to the approximate wheelbase of the truck .have a set of Steve's 10 hole aluminum bud wheels for this puppy and i will be getting a set of custom fuel tanks made for it too .i am going to clean up the lines abit more and prime it and paint it then start assembling it using one of the vintage Western Star grills from Paul at PKD on here ..thanks again paul for your hard work and attention to detail to make this grill a masterpiece.

Re: "The Outlaw" Steel Cowboy movie Western Star
test fitting the vintage grill from Paul from PKD designs and the headlight bezels.trimming the k&s aluminum pipe for the stacks.they will be sanded and polished, installed the front axle and getting ready to drill and tap the frame to install the floor to mount the cab.The nose is abit long so i have to reposition the floor.this weekend is supposed to be nice ,hopefully will be able to prime and lay some paint .this bumper in the picture will not sty on ,i have to scratchbuild another one without the round fog light holes, anyway these are some mockup pics

Re: "The Outlaw" Steel Cowboy movie Western Star
i actually had to put 4 coats of black on this cab to bring the colour up to the shade of black needed
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...psuvvlbkyp.jpg http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...psdyymbvpc.jpg then i did the white pinstriping on the cab using the pactra vinyl pinstriping http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7fhebbwl.jpg i only did the one side here and then i clear sealed the paint and the pinstriping and did the other side the same way and added my custom made decals for this build .i was going to show them when the truck was finished but i will let everyone see them now. |

Wow Dwayne looks great. I was worried they fine details of the styrene work would fade away but they came through the paint looking good.
