Re: Where are the Aussies
Hi guys, I'm here as well. I work and live in Malaysia. My interest is in heavy trucks and logging. I anm new to this and just love reading and view everyones builds. Some very clever guys out there. I am building my first truck. Its a King Hauler being converted to a Pacific P16 recovery truck. I have also purchased a Pacific logging truck from John which was originally built by Fred and waiting for it to arrive here in Malaysia. I'll start a thread shortly. Its all to do with spare cash its takes a lot to set up tooling and I want my own lathe and mill. I Aus i'm from Brisbane. Anyone else from Qld?
Cheers guys, looking forwarded to chatting and seeing your builds. Bob |
Re: Where are the Aussies

.. is there anyone in the Sydney metro area? (apart from me?) cheers! Richard http://malfunctioning.doesntexist.com |
Re: Where are the Aussies
Hi Richard welcome,:D
I think I'm the closest to you I'm in western sydney:D Cheers Tracy |
Re: Where are the Aussies
Hi Tracy,
I'm in the 'inner west'... next door to Macq. Uni. Apart from footpaths and carparks, is there any road-type track for trucks anywhere in Syd metro? Cheers! |
Re: Where are the Aussies
I worked out what area you live in years ago before I joined any rc site by your youtube videos some cycling mates are around your area and we use to ride those windy path ways behind your place to get to the uni on way to coffee at Concord, there's a couple of places in Olympic Park that would be good but that means getting there really early and putting witches hats up to stop people/bikes destroying them, back in the day there use to be a good road circuit in Merrylands they use to race any road vehicle and guys with tractor trucks would use it on different nights.
Cheers Tracy |
Re: Where are the Aussies
hmm.. merrylands.. not too far from here..
went to Tempe once, was told they sometimes get a truck having a run on that course, between races... doesnt seem to be anything organised just for trucks here in Sydney.... ..might just have to do something about that! :) |
