Hi everyone,
I want to present my new project: A Volvo L350F front Loader scale 1:16. First the drawings from PDF to AutoCad, then I use the AutoCad drawings as a template. The tires are from Barnhausen in Germany. Hydraulic is custom built. I use Aluminium and glue it together with special 2 component epoxy adhesive: UHU plus. |
Re: Volvo L350F

Re: Volvo L350F
Nice work. How is the UHU plus to work with? The manufacturers description says it cures fast. Doest it get hot as it cures? Will it attach dissimilar metals? Did you have any issues using it? You're model looks great so far.

Re: Volvo L350F
amazing work, any close ups of how the front axle is fitted to the frame? looks like it is between 2 pieces of metal and bolted?
|
Re: Volvo L350F

|
Re: Volvo L350F

What colour scheme are going for? Glenn |
Re: Volvo L350F
Woah! I love how smooth it looks even without paint:bounce: This is going to be a beast. The tires seem a bit small in my opinion but maybe the picture is just taken from a goofy angle:o Nice.
|
Re: Volvo L350F
Finally time to post some updates
The length of this "beast" is 740 mm and the weight is 12 kg. The tires are exact to scale it looks small but if you see in the next picture it make sense. Making the mudguards. http://i1348.photobucket.com/albums/...ps438ae882.jpg handrails added http://i1348.photobucket.com/albums/...psd324cf8b.jpg The white steps are 3D printed http://i1348.photobucket.com/albums/...psc7fcf84c.jpg support for the handrail aside the steps also 3D printed http://i1348.photobucket.com/albums/...psad30eb4e.jpg Spaghetti under the hood, everything need to fit. Ever square mm is used to fit the hydraulics, pump, tank, valves, pressure gauge, hoses, cylinders for the steering, speed controller, sound module, speaker, light module, cooling fan, main electrical board, receiver, and last but absolutely necessary the battery http://i1348.photobucket.com/albums/...ps169f79e0.jpg |

Re: Volvo L350F
Very nice... do you have any info on the reduction gearbox you are using for the pump - the orange one?
|
Re: Volvo L350F
Hi Elliot
The gearbox is from Robbe 5:1 connect to a Jung pump. The pressure is around 25 bar. |
