Cabin Fever Show Discussion: Jan 14
Looks like a full schedule rod! the Cabin Fever deal looks pretty cool! I might try and go, we'll see.. It also seems that the ECLC show got pushed back a couple weeks? Because of the rain undoubtedly. Looking forward to another great year!

Re: East Coast Mini Truckers 2012 Show Schedule
I need some info on how much space the road trucks will be needing at Cabin Fever. I will relay this to the Cabin Fever staff ASAP. I have ample room already for the giant dirt pile. Also about how many tables do we need?

Re: East Coast Mini Truckers 2012 Show Schedule
I made my reservations today at the Holiday Inn. All the motels listed on their site have reduced rates if you tell them you're with The Cabin Fever Expo. I still would like to know about how much room the road trucks need and qty of tables.
Would 20'x50' be enough space? There's a group of guys with the "Ride On" sized trains there that set up beside my dragline and I want to be sure we have enough space before they set up their track. |

I missed this question, I apologize. I don't know how much of the city we will be bringing, so I can't completely give you an idea on the size of the space. Typically, we use a 40x30 space at the firehall in Brookville, not counting the pit and tables. As we wont be bringing a majority of the city, we shouldn't need too much space. As for tables, 6 or 8 seem good if we get the guys who have said they are coming. As with most things in January, I'm sure it will depend on the weather! |

It's going to take more than weather to stop me from going. Usually it's wet salt going over the mountains on the turnpike and drys up after the last tunnel before Newville in my experience. |
Re: Cabin Fever Show Discussion: Jan 14
I will be there. What are the hours?

A question has come to my attention; Can we sell parts for sale on our tables? Answer: NO The only way to sell there is to buy a vendor space, or use the free consignment area, and the show gets a percentage of your sale (if sold). What you do outside is your business.;) I like the rules, If they didn't enforce them the whole show would turn into a big flea market like most gas engine shows. This show is the best in the country for scale model engineering and is set up so the public can view peoples creations in the center of the arena and all the vendors are on the perimeter of the building selling: parts, kits, tools, raw materials that are related to our hobby of machining or building working scale models . There is definitely no buddy selling velvet Elvis's and swords:rolleyes: |

Anyone planning to attend this event?
|
Re: Cabin Fever
You sure are more than welcome to attend!! We will need the haul roads groomed so the dump trucks can deliver their loads expeditiously:D;)
I would like to see a couple dozers from the midwest there too.;) I know that I'll be there. Looks like there's going to be a big turnout with the addition of the East Coast Mini Trucker guys. I really don't have an actual head count but I'm thinking about getting there Thursday this year. My normal helper (son) can't take work off yet with his new job but I should manage fine. There is a forklift there to help me unload the 200+# drag. I'll get at least 10 tables unless we need more, and I'll cordon off an area 20'x about 70' if needed. SmallHaul, Jammer, and I last year had about 20'x30' of play area but the show didn't know exactly how much dirt we needed till they saw what we were up to and now this year we are getting a bigger pile. |

Re: Cabin Fever Show Discussion: Jan 14
I got a call this evening from Gary of Cabin Fever asking about floor space needed I told him the plan will be an area about 20'x60' that can be enlarged or shortened. We will have about 20'x20+' of digging area and I told him get about 4x the dirt we had last year.

Re: Cabin Fever Show Discussion: Jan 14
I need to replace the dripping tranny cooler lines on my 1:1 06' Chevy Duramax. They're getting really bad now it's cold out. Seems these trucks are notorious for this looking on all the forums. I ordered a set of aftermarket replacements and hope they don't give me trouble. If all else fails, I'll borrow my kids Cummins to pull my trailer. Or last but not least, our Ford cube van and won't need the trailer.
