Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder
This is what I mean about getting side tract. I think it will be cool when it's done, it will be different. I need to finish something before I start another LOL.

Re: Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder
About what scale is that? Any clue?
|
Re: Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder
well if i did the math right it should be 1/14th but it seems a little big. i made the width fit the tamiya axles. I am going to have the widows and doors 3D printed, and the grill I think

Re: Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder
Did a little work on the Bounder today made a grill out of steel and changed the windshield a little bit and did some welding on the roof line, I will have to use some bondo on this one LOL

This thing is going to be heavy! What gauge metal are you using? Something like 16? I get sidetracked all the time! I never get anything done. :)

Re: Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder
I would also like to say that I am very impressed with a lot of the builders on here some of you do not have access to high tech equipment and manage to build some really amazing things. My biggest problem is that I do things to fast I lack the patience that is required for the real fine detail that some people put into there models. I like to make them work and then I want to move on. But I still have fun and enjoy what I do and that is what really matters after all this is a hobby.:)

Re: Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder
Here are some new photos of the Bounder, not a lot of progress and some set backs. I had to open up the wheel openings to fit the King Hauler tires:mad:
and then I got one of them in the wrong spot so I had to cut out a piece and make a piece to insert and weld in it will look ok but it's just more work.:( |
Re: Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder

Re: Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder
well I worked on the frame today despite the cold and burned up a bunch of fuel:lol: the rear leaf springs are from a Tamiya High lift and the fronts are from a King hauler

Re: Breaking Bad, Fleetwood Bounder
I have been toying with the idea of using a cordless drill motor and gearbox assembly from a Ryobi drill that I have, its a two speed. Any ideas on that I just thought it would be a little different and unique.:bounce:
