Mini truck and construction track on Long Island N.Y
 

I'm happy to post there will be a mini trucking and construction track/site coming soon to Long Island N.Y it will be located in Plainview right off the
L.I.E Long Island Express Way (495). The process will take several months
to complete do to 7 to 10,000 sqft of space to be constructed. Any info on track planning and lay out will be greatly appreciated. ECMT will soon have a place on the Island to put on a show. I will be at the expo in PA this weekend.

Unfortunately no lotto still have to work. LOL.
I am a window installer and it just so happen that the factory that the windows are manufactured has about 25,000 sqft of extra space not being used. So since the owner for the building is my contractor that I sub for just so happen to be half German and likes my construction vehicles that I've built. I ran the idea of a indoor construction and trucking land would be cool. And that I can get $20 a day or $100 a month for track use per person he lit up. having fun and making money off of the space that was not being used sound like good stuff to him. So he say that I can have 7 to 10,000 sqft to do it.
I am going to need sh*t load od help especially. the track planning. I will be at the expo tomorrow in PA. to have fun and seek info.

I was trying my hardest to have the whole layout freight and construction but unfortunately there not enough Long Island Mini Truckers in the area to keep the lights on and etc.
So a 2/3rds of the space will have to be set aside for the more popular carpet racing such as drifting and touring car track. This will still leave a nice portion to create a non- compact freight and construction layout.

I've got the Ok to have a small assembly in the area where the lay out would be. I'm going to get a couple of bags of sand to move around, about six bags. I will also paint in some roadway nothing fancy just a mock up just for the get together. I would like to see how many mini truckers from the local area I can get there, I'm Thinking 1 hour drive shouldn't be a long drive for most. It would be in February on a Saturday I'm thinking the 6th. I need to throw a nice show for the owner of the facility. I will be post further info:

I need a good turnout so spread the word. It will be at 180 terminal dr. Plainview, long island NY 11803. Your G.P.S may have it as Oyster Bay. The building is the kary kassl window corp. The get together will be on Feb 6 . next month about 2 weeks away. It is located 2 minutes from the (495)L.I.E take exit 46 go east on service road for 1 mile there is a 7 eleven on the corner make a right that will be Sunnyside Blvd. First stop sign make a left to terminal drive.

Yeah, you guys got a lot more white stuff than I did, and the wind too!!! Man I wish I could be there for your first show. Unfortunately I'm heading down south early Sunday morning. I just wouldn't have the time to make this one :(.

Its not a show yet. Just a small meet as for who can make the trip, so guys can check out the place and meet the owner/ business partner of the facility. There I will get ideas and feedback from the drivers on what the lay out should look like. I will have sand and road painted in nothing fancy not permanent. for us to drive on and move loads while we are there.
As for the official Show/Grand Opening Day: When everything is set and final with HOW,WHEN, we already know where. I will be contacting the administration of ECMT for the official notifications and the calendar/ dates.

Please spread the word that this is not an official show as of yet. As I stated before will keep all aware of future dates and times. Looking forward to everyone's input.

we did not receive the permit for assembly. At the moment we are waiting for the proper document so we can assemble in the warehouse. I must reschedule at a later date after we receive the permit. Too bad, keep plugging away at it, I'm sure it will be a great spot when everything gets in place. I couldn't make it this weekend anyway, but will be looking forward to the next time:).

wow we at Scale Builders R/C Truck Club Of Ontario is looking for something like this however if we lived closer ..we would be there for sure...lol..good luck with that i hope it works out for you :)
