block button

Facebook has a block button or ignore button can we get one here??

Re: block button

The option is already available, you access it from your User CP (upper left of any page you're on). Scroll down to Edit Ignore List. Enter member's username that you do not wish to see anything from ever again, blocks everything - PM's, posts, threads started by that individual... all blocked ;)

I know its none of my business but why would someone need to block someone here ...if you are being harrassed or bothered ..have an admin speak to the individual about it then move on

It's useful if you don't want to see a member's posts for whatever reason it might be. lol

Re: block button

Did everyone read and understand this? I don't know why there is even a discussion about this-or a poll. Makes no sense to me.

Why not?

It's totally your free choice to read & respond in kind or just move on...

I'm a noob... and probably don't search hard enough... but i didnt think it's me.

Would it be me, if i were to want an obscure truck and get upset that there's nobody that sells a single box kit of what's in my head?

Re: block button

The thing is we all want to help new people, **** I'm still relatively new and need plenty of help. BUT, when you give someone an answer to their question, and they don't like it; then it becomes frustrating when they just choose another location and post the same thing over and over, till it becomes a whine session.

Yes, we would all like to have our own thing, kit form ready to build out of the box. I want a W900L w/ 86" Studio, somebody else wants a Mack CH daycab, next guy wants a old school Hayes dump truck, etc. etc. There have been plenty of good answers, but the truth is; just because you have no problem building a truck, it doesn't mean everyone can. And just because you want Tamiya to build a XXXX truck, doesn't mean they will. We all have to live and learn in this hobby. New people have to learn what is and is not available, and what needs to be done to get what they want. Older members have to get beyond the "I did it 10 years ago, so why don't you" mentality.

In the end, we all just want, and need to; enjoy the hobby in a way that makes us happy.

It takes effect from that moment on. Previous posts posted by that member will still be viewable but you won't be able to see what they wrote. After the member is blocked their messages will no longer be viewable from that point on.
