Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
Meanwhile the A40 is at stand still, I decided to start a small side project. I'm trying to make a Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer. It's a little small for my Cat 374, but if it works somehow maybe I'll make a bigger one for it.:)
Here's a some pictures of it: http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...psjxzkkj62.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...pshl08fyd8.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...psr8expflt.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...psc8c25td0.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps8qi2seuv.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...ps6kqbmjno.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...pshuzhpbo9.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...psg5ccofqx.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...psjdcr3rkv.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...psz054gvjf.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...pskxwa97sc.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...psto9wvxcg.jpg |
Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
Wow! Very nice machining Ari, now I see what the cylinders on your YT chanel was made for! :)
Whats the diameter of the piston rod and cylinder? |
Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
All I can say you did a fantastic job.

Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
Thanks guys:)
The piston rod is 12mm and piston is 24mm. It's not totally ready yet, still needs to be welded together and do the hydraulic lines. |
Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
Very nice!! That's mint!! Can't beat parts made on a CNC, that's a small work of art!! Well done!!

Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
Great work! I can't think of anything you have made that is not a work of art. Will be nice to see it at work when finished.

Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
Well done Ari
What's the maximum jaw opening? Are making a hyd turntable too? Have you started the construction of a plaster house as well? :D |

Max jaw opening is 80 mm. I purchase a rotary drive from Premacon that I'm planning to use. I haven't started the house project yet:p |
Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
That's awesome! The machining is astounding.
Since a Plaster House was mentioned, i have to put this here... http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/1-9-s...yota-body.html Disposable oven pans, shoe goo adhesive, and a body to form it over. |
Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
This is an incredible piece of craftsmanship Ari, I'm curious as to the scale Crush force this could produce.

Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
I did some work with the hydraulic rotator. I decided to make a housing for it so that it looks more like the real thing. The rotator is from Premacon:

Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
I just noticed that you're gonna have to add another valve in the machine

Hi Ari
Happy new year Great work love them. Cannot wait to see what thier first victim will be :) |
Re: Atlas Copco CB2500 pulverizer
Beautiful as always, Ari. You may have said before, but are you using a pulse arc welder? Something I've been interested in but have held back due to cost. Seems like it would be a great thing to have.
Keep up the fantastic work! Ken |
