Kenworth T800
here is another of my challenges going good so far :)
having fun, I like to switch it up from time to time that's what keeps it exciting :) keep my motors running full steam ahead :) http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...riveSide34.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09398.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09399.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09400.jpg |
Re: Kenworth T800
Amazing Silvio! I love this truck! Good progress so far! What did you use to fill the gap on the rear panel?:D Can't wait for more!:D

Re: Kenworth T800
Hi Skl1cent, This should be another good build from you as usual but you have to ditch that king grill other wise I hate to say it but it will look like one of Joe's trucks there been a few T800's made on here that you can see how to build one or maybe someone might be kind enough to build a grill for you cause I'd hate to see all that hard work done and someone says is that one of J***, Just a thought:D:D

Re: Kenworth T800
Here are some pic's of the one I built and as for the grill when I converted it to 1/14 from measurements off the 1:1 the hood ended up being 3in wide about 1/2in narrower than the king grill. Mine is just made of styrene covered in monokote chrome.

Re: Kenworth T800
Hey Trucker! :) its actually the back of the sleeper you know the little dooor that goes on there to hide the electronics? I cut that down n put it back there it will work with the clips n everything I will show u once more progress done :)
Cossett, LOL i know I wanted to do regular t800 but I think the owner of this cab has a metal grill that he wants to use and its the same size as the king hauler one so I guess thats why its this way hahahah I would do it my way but this is what was requested :) I dont have the metal grill on hand but it mounts exactly and same size as the king hauler one, so thats the reason, if it was up to me, I would do my style grill :) these are the ones I do personaly http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC08077.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC08255.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC08302.jpg so yep just following what was ordered there :) no connection to joe... lol no thanks my cabs are on the next level ;) |
Re: Kenworth T800
Sounds like you are on the right track then Silvio keep it up.

Re: Kenworth T800
Hey! I know that truck!! lol !
Looking good Silvio! And I like the grill - even if it looks like one of Joe's. He doesn't hold a patent on it ... Are you going to attempt the rear cab extension? THEN it won't look so much like a Joe build... |
Re: Kenworth T800
hahah yea im gonna attempt that gonna cut the back off n try :)
|
Re: Kenworth T800

Re: Kenworth T800
This tractor looks awesome, very nice job. Now it just needs to be pulling a shoprite trailer. This is the trsctors they use for our local new jersey shoprite warehouses to distribute to the stores.
|
Re: Kenworth T800

Re: Kenworth T800
This is the trailer it's going to pull, a short 28 ft. frameless dump built by Ralph Little;
http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/9572/enddump.jpg Bought a short wheelbase chassis from russisloud for the T-800 body to ride on. Now just have to get the hydraulics set up... |
