The Snowwhite Projekt
You know the Story of the beautyfull Princes in her Glas Coffin?
Same thing with this Wedico Rig. She was build over 25 years ago and spend her whole Life in a Box from Acrylglas on a shelf. The owner had no Time to play with her. And he had no Time to give her all these shiny things He bought for her over the years. Some Day he found my Homepage and decided that I should be the Prince who bring her back to live. I am not shure if a simple Kiss might be enough, but I will try to do. http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/7...ittchen001.jpg http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/6...ittchen002.jpg http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/7...ittchen003.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/2456/...ittchen004.jpg http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/9...ittchen005.jpg http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/3...ittchen006.jpg Gruss Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Great build, I can already tell! I hope someone has a truck in a box in a closet for me!:D
More like Snow Black!:D lol |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Servus
All Parts are here now and I can start to rebuild the Truck. Yesterday I finished the construction work at the Hood. Mirrors are ready and the Grill Design has been changed. I made some Mud Flaps and a new Mesh for the Grill. http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/7...ittchen001.jpg http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/632...ittchen002.jpg http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/7...ittchen003.jpg http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/2...ittchen004.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/9...ittchen005.jpg http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/3...ittchen006.jpg Gruss Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Well, the Owner is not shure how to create the Grill.
He wanted a polished Frame and a black Mesh. http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/9...ittchen119.jpg With an additional silver Mesh behind the black one http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/4...ittchen120.jpg And this is what I would prefer. http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/5...ittchen121.jpg And the Tanks have been painted . My next Projekt is hidden on that Pic. Can you find it??? http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/4...ittchen122.jpg Gruss Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Well, the Owner wanted me to eleminate the Chicken Lights and the Wedico Visor which is part of the Roof.
So I decided to take a raw Roof, cut away the Visor and paint it. Same thing with the Sleeper Wall.He wanted 3 additional Lights in the Wall but the old Wall look like a Swiss Cheese.Too much Holes. So I took a Front Wall and closed the Big Hole and drilled three new ones for the Lights. http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/1...ittchen123.jpg http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/5...ittchen125.jpg http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/6...ittchen126.jpg http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/2...ittchen127.jpg Bis bald. Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Parts look good.. Your next project.. Project 350 from here in the USA.. The owner of that truck had Styln and Profiln build that for him last year it came out great..

Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Great way to update an old Wedico conventional model, which never really excited me to much. I always thought the conventional's headlights were the ugliest part of the whole truck, so it's good to see you swapped those out for the double round Peterbilt kind.

Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Servus
Paul,I followed the Building Thread from Project 350 and he did a fantastic Job on it. His one is Tamiya based and I want to try out to get a Wedico as close as possible to the 350 Look. This Build has a lot of Elements from 350 but with some additional Parts it will be much different. Nathan, these are Conventional Lights.I only used some paint on the Glasses to get the Look from two single round Lights. Paint Job is done but I needed the last free Space to store the Parts until they are dry. http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/6...ittchen128.jpg http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/160...ittchen129.jpg http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/2...ittchen130.jpg Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt

Today I made the Visor and played around with the Indicator Lights. http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/1...ittchen131.jpg http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/3...ittchen132.jpg http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/6...ittchen133.jpg http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/1889/...ittchen136.jpg http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/873...ittchen139.jpg Gruss Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Yes, I realized after looking at the photos of the headlights a second time, that they are indeed painted to look like the Peterbilt double rounds. I nice touch. I must say the paint is looking very good, and I really think the new grill and mesh behind it will make a very drastic and good change for the truck. Nice work.

Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
I've really never been a fan of wedico, but you are changing my mind;)
Excellent details, I will keep watching this build. Simply amazaing:cool::cool: Big John |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Servus
Now its Time to complete the Truck and make some changes in the Wedico typical Design. First I removed the Screws from the Door and fixed them with some Belt Rivets. I had to use this Rivets to cover the damaging in the Paint from the Washers. Then I secured them with 2 mm Rivet Screws. Some Nail polish and it looks much better than with the Big Screws. http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/8...ittchen141.jpg Wipers are too big:mad: http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/1...ittchen142.jpg I made a new Dashboard http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/7...ittchen143.jpg Stainless Steel Stacks http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/8...ittchen145.jpg http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/9...ittchen147.jpg The Owner send me some Pins he got from the USA to check out which one would fit to the Truck. Which one would you Guys use?? http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/2...ittchen150.jpg http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/5...ittchen151.jpg http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/8...ittchen152.jpg http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/1...ittchen153.jpg Gruss Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Hey Michael looking good:D I would use the first pin(stars and stripes star) because everyone uses the eagle in pic 2 and the third one not sure about but it belongs on the top of the hood as the handle used to tilt it fwd..
Cheers Tracy |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Have to agree with Tracy here. Stars and stripes all the way.

Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Looks great!
I really like the look of the mirrors, they look really great. I think you're really adding some character to the truck! |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Hi
The Owner decided to take the Star with the Stars and Stripes in it. The last Days I spend some Time to complete the Body Units. I drilled some Holes into the Sleeper Bootom for the Electric. And I made a Shelf to get some Space for the Batterie and other Components. http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/2...ittchen177.jpg http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/9...ittchen178.jpg Additional Breaklights. http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/1...ittchen180.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/3...ittchen183.jpg http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/7...ittchen185.jpg http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/1...tchen186wd.jpg Bis bald Gruss Michael |

Just a small Update The rear Axles and the Frame are ready. http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/9...ittchen205.jpg http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/341...ittchen206.jpg http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/9...ittchen207.jpg http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/3...ittchen208.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/504...ittchen209.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/4...ittchen210.jpg http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/5...ittchen211.jpg Gruss Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
I like those axles! Been wanting to get a set for my Wedico truck, but I just haven't gotten the courage up to place an order over seas, in Germany. They look so much nicer then even Wedico's best axles do.

Each Axle is about 240 Euro plus 150 for the Suspension System. Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Them are so sweet looking I wish they did the suspension set upi for tamiyas it is a great looking great working set up.

Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Are there shocks that are not mounted yet? Or does this setup not use shocks? The multi-link looks pretty complicated for a model - how does it compare to 1:1? Just curious - looks really nice.
|
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Hi
No,there are no Shocks on this Setup. The biggest Problem with it is that the whole Weight of the complete Axles hangs on 2 2mm Screws when you lift up the Truck. The Multilink is very close to the 1:1,some Shocks would be nice to keep the System in Place when you lift the Truck. This system is supposed to be used on Construction Trucks which are driven on very rough Terrain. Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Servus
The most of the Work is done now,I have just to add all the small Parts and some Lights and Electrics and the Owner can have it back. http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/9...ittchen226.jpg http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/9...ittchen221.jpg http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/6...ittchen222.jpg http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/3...ittchen223.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/3...ittchen224.jpg http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/6...ittchen225.jpg Some before and After Pics. http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/7...ittchen003.jpg http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/6...ittchen002.jpg Gruss Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
grüzi ;-)
came out really nice, i'm quite jealous on the axles, hope the owner will drive it now, otherwise it's "perlen vor die säue geworfen" (thrown pearls to the pigs) |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Hi
Another small update on the Truck. Looks like Wire Salad but its running. Now is the Problem to hide all this Stuff. http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/4...ittchen230.jpg http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/2...ittchen231.jpg http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/455...ittchen232.jpg http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/8...ittchen233.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/188...ittchen235.jpg http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/7...ittchen236.jpg |

Hi
Every Story must have an End and today I gave her back to her Owner. This is what he got: http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/9...ittchen254.jpg http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/6...ittchen253.jpg http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/2...ittchen249.jpg http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/5...ittchen252.jpg http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/4...ittchen250.jpg http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/167...ittchen245.jpg Michael |
Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
That is a great looking truck! I never ever liked the Wedico conventionals, as they always looked quite generic, but you sure fixed this one up nicely! It's very sharp and makes me re-think everything about these conventionals. Kind of like a diamond in the rough. Just needs a little polishing.

Re: The Snowwhite Projekt
Very nice
Looks great |
