Wow, looks like quite an expensive trip!

I have no idea who Ric is, are the tires you got something he "stocks"?
I might be interested in a set of 6.

-whistles- That was an expensive trip for sure. Heck, you've got over $200 worth of tires, from the looks of things! :D

Ric is the owner of PMD. (google is your friend.)

Nice purchases Travis! You have lots of work for the fall.

It seemed like everytime I turned around Travis was coming around the corner of the pits with another arm load of parts! LOL!

Thanks again for the styrene sheets! One sheet is already pretty much gone and a 30' dump trailer is getting ready to take shape. I've got to raid the LHS for .250x.250 styrene tomorrow. I'll try to remember to take pictures this time.

Yeah, I've looked through the PMD site, but did not see those tires listed. Are they special order or something, or am I better off just ordering them from Germany?

Re: Quick trip to the hobby shop

If you are meaning the Fulda Crossforce tires, Ric should have them unless Travis got them all.

I got my last set right from AFV models in germany . At PMD you have to look under the Tamiya Section . I always found It's best to call him

x2. The website won't tell you if it is in stock or not but they can check on the phone.

Re: Quick trip to the hobby shop

Ok, yeah he has them on his site, but as said, under Tamiya and not wheels and tires.

Those that have seen his, do they have any sidewall detail?
I found these at Fechtner and they have nice detail.

thor, I believe they all come from carson , so they all should have the detail . the ones I got from both places are identical .If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will say so .

matt I think the 1's up on the carson site are a new style. thors posting ones like the 2 sets I got just the ones from AFV model came with the carson tag and the ones from PMD came without the carson tag  but I think I may get a bunch of those Rc4wd haulers for now :) they look just like the ones I use to run on my real trucks ;)

Re: A quick skip to the hobby shop

Ric had alot of the Rc4WD tires on hand at Indy. They're sweet. I picked up 4 sets, but should have gotten more. DieselKid keeps eyeing mine up, so I'll have to hide them from him.

Naw, he's a good kid. He actually mounted up my new lo-pro super singles, that I also got at Indy, on my tag axle last night and they also look great.

Looks like Christmas came early. I'm jealous for 2 reasons:

#1 I didn't get to go and have fun drivin' around/meeting peoples.

#2 I didn't get to bring home all the new stuffs.

Anyway have fun with all your new supplies/toys.

Travis

Everytime I saw you at indy this year you had a new purchase in your hands!!! I was surprised to see the machine... then the KH kit... THEN the MFU!!! :D

fhhhstix 09-03-2010 09:24 PM

Re: A quick trip to the hobby shop

Other than the trailer and MFU the rest was allready paid for 5 months ago when I ordered a dozer and the dozer wasn't looking to promising so I went shopping to get my money back and I think I ended up with a better deal.

Travis,I put one of those bumpers in my mill & removed the sales promo.
It's a little thinner now,but looks better. Just an Idea.

Re: A quick trip to the hobby shop

Travis & FGD,
I took my logo bumper and machined off the bottom angled part. Makes for a much more prototypical bumper. Only about .010" difference top to bottom across the rear pocket. You can see it in the latest pics of my Bud truck.
