That's what I'm talkin about. I'm partial to it. Looking sweet John. The pin stripes should really set it off!

Re: 379 Daycab

I would go with silver to pickup the silver of the tanks and steps. You wouldn't be waiting on some lights, would you:rolleyes::rolleyes: Should have yours completed this weekend:eek::eek:

I have a ??? for you- why does everyone make their front bumper so close to the ground? On a 1:1 if the bumper was 14" off of the ground that would make a model's 1" in scale yet everyone wants their bumper within a 1/4" of the ground. Makes for a very picky truck to drive around. You have to watch for every little obstacle in front of your truck.

Re: 379 Daycab

Thanks everyone....Lynn..Its all about the look..they do make it difficult to go into someplaces...But its all about pride in your ride...Thats one thing AWESOME about the big rig world..they are not sitting waitting for warm weather for all to see..somewhere 24/7 there is a showbaby truck moving commerece showing off the true meaning of why they do this.."PRIDE"..
Thanks for everyone for making this hobby so great...I cant afford the 1:1..so this is where i do mine..:D:D:D:cool::cool:

Re: 379 Daycab

Just goes to show how cool you can make a truck look with stock kh length. I really like this one. Great looking grille, any more info on it?
My truck's bumper is only going to be a hair's breadth off the ground. I guess some people don't like that. That's ok, if everyone made their trucks the same, this place would be boring. I think it looks mean  never mind the impracticalities :D

Re: 379 Daycab

Looking great as usual Jon, I say black pinstripe to tie the cab into the black frame. Maybe if you wanted to be really ballsy you could try the black pinstripe outlined by the silver??? Just a thought. I'll be watching LOL.

Well the owner said pinstripe with black...Now it just has to be cleared..sooo close.:p:p:p:D:D:D

John it looks great with the stripes and fenders on it now. I think it would look really good with a stainless strip along the back frame to give it a cleaner look but I suppose thats up to the owner.

Sweet John. The clear coat really does the trick! Nice and shiny. But no back window? Is it going to be covered with a headache rack? I like'em low and long, so no complaints from me, about the bumper height.
