Re: IH 9670 COE
OK so my first post was pretty weak...BUT with everyone out of the house for 3hrs today I got a ton done so here it is..
Built me some fancy stack brackets out of brass. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...icks/007-6.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...icks/006-8.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...cks/005-11.jpg Also took a set of PVC tanks I made and made 3" long tanks for the truck. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...cks/004-12.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...cks/003-15.jpg Also mounted 1/4 fenders and rear flap brackets and flap brackets under the cab. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...cks/002-16.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...cks/001-12.jpg I am going to run my 7" stacks "sorry john 8" don't fit" and make a AC can for under the passenger side and get the tranny mounted so I can figure out the back of the cab and build a custom alum front bumper like on my KW cracker for it.. Plan on running a nice drop visor but not sure to go 5.7,9,or 11 on the cab lights yet.. |
Re: IH 9670 COE
Looking good!!! I really like those stack mounts. Gonna be another show stopper. Great job!!

Re: IH 9670 COE

Re: IH 9670 COE

Thanks jetdog.. I bend and make all the parts then have them chromed and fit them together. |
Re: IH 9670 COE

|
Re: IH 9670 COE
They run me about 70.00 a set.
|
Re: IH 9670 COE
Paul the truck is looking great and the stacks are absolutely top notch. I can't wait to see some paint thrown at this project. Any idea of what you're going for paint scheme wise?

Re: IH 9670 COE
Thanks much Aaron..
Here is a little update with the smaller cab I have lack of room for a 3 speed so here is what I built.. It is a 3 to 1 reduction with the motor turned around now if my math is right you can go any where from 1:1 to 6:1 just by changing gears. Anyways here are the picks.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...-05-30_618.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...-54-29_955.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/004-27.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/003-9.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/005-27.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/006-25.jpg Still going to be a little tight but it will work nice.. I did a different version of this tranny a few years ago on my tri axle to get the tranny in the cab due to the cat motor under the hood but this is a new and improved version of that.. |
Re: IH 9670 COE
Now that is the best space saver ever! I like it! Awesome job!
|
Re: IH 9670 COE
Paul, looking good. Amassing work, love the stack bracket and stacks as well.

Re: IH 9670 COE
Hey Paul I think you and Russ should put a kit together for the engine relocation kit you have there, I can see lots of guys with day cabs and cracker jack box Coe's using your motor/trans adapter kit. And your stacks look so good that I'm getting started on my globe this weekend, lol ill be ordering lots of parts now. I'm sure my wife appreciates the fact that your build has just lit a fire under my a$$ to get my globe running haha. Awesome job so far.

great idea, funny thing is with these trucks you would think their would be pleanty of room but as you get further along on one of these builds the tighter it gets.

Re: IH 9670 COE
Another fine example of the ingenuity that our members show. Next, someone will figure how to include the motor inside the transmission! Stellar work and model.

Re: IH 9670 COE
This is what I love about this board here. All the vendors are all about helping and making custom parts for guys it just makes this hobby great.. Russ and I have been talking about this grill since May of this year but it has been well worth the wait for sure.. I just got the prototype today and it needs a little tweeking but all in all it is great Russ did a outstanding job I cant wait to get my other 4 and now I have this prototype I am ready to finish off this truck and get it into paint as soon as I can.. But enough jabber here are the picks..
