Spair Parts Freightliner Build.

Well been meaning to get at this one for a long time now and since the other 4 builds are in a parts freeze it was time to bust it back out..

I have always wanted to do a stretched Knight but I did not want to do a stock cab so I see lots of guys that put KW hoods or Pete hood on them so I went a little milder and went with the KW fenders on the stock hood another look I have seen and I like but I dont like the Little AC they run so I will run a bigger one..

Here are some picks of the hood modd.

Ok so here are the 1/3 of the way build picks it is sitting on 28 inch rails 285 wheel base.

Still some work to do on the nose but pretty minor and waiting on tanks for Stimpy..

What Yall think,,

Paul, not bad for spare parts. I actually never thought about the idea of King Hauler fenders on a Knight Hauler cab and sleeper, but it looks like a perfect match, indeed. Way more realistic then a Knight Hauler, with it's stock fenders. That's a great medley of parts! It's already looking really good, with those breathers on the side of the hood.

Thanks much Nate this one has been in the works a long time just needed to dust it off and get at it..

OK so back at it after being sick since last Sunday finally feeling good enough to get some stuff done and post some picks.

So I have gotten the rest of the plastic work done on the nose.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/011-13.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/012-12.jpg

So all the plastic work is done just need to do the body work. I also got the tranny mounted and drive shafts done and also got the servos in and all the links made.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/010-35.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/009-40.jpg.

So now just waiting for the fuel tanks from Russ and rear light plate and I have to make a visior and do the body work so almost done.

Frame is now painted and I made a custom drop visor for it also added 8 rear cab lights and a mirror stainless deck plate it is coming along I have the radio gear in it and a rc4wd light unit in it for the break lights and blinkers I am waiting on the rear light plate so cant finish it yet.

Getting there, Paul. Already it looks great! I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the RC4WD light kit. Are the blinkers activated by a separate channel, a limit switch, or something else?

Thanks Nate.. The unit is sort of a pain in the butt, but it is what I use till I get a sound kit in trucks you can get them off ebay for 20 bucks and it plugs between the servos and esc and gets its info from the receiver.
