Stub nose Orange Crate

Working on my stub nose, I call it the Orange Crate. Still working on exhaust. And a few other minor things.

As Aaron said, that is definitely a different style thank I've ever seen but I really like the creativity. It fits the lines well and looks like it could be operational.

Cant wait to see some more pics with all the accessories added to it.

Thanks Aaron, I was going for a 50's style truck that's been restored and customized a little bit.

Thanks Tyler, I should have it drivable by the weekend and all the parts on it. I'm not going to run a MFU in it I don't think but we'll see.

Very unique and it works :D. I like it. Great idea. I assume the stacks are going behind the sleeper? It has an old truck look to it, maybe only one stack and a air cleaner pipe combo?

Thanks Mario, I was toying with a few different stack options and I thinking I'm going with one on the back and one air filter, thanks for your input.

Stack mounted along with the air breather, just need mirrors, fifth wheel, shaft and electronics.

Looks good with the single stack. Have you considered a pipe and maybe snorkel for the air cleaner?

Neil, very cool pics. Thanks for the links, I especially like the yellow Pete. Here is a few pics of what I was going after. Kind of a cross between a old Mack H model that somebody has restored and made into a clean parade truck.

Thanks for your links.

That's a keeper! I've always enjoyed seeing builds of lesser known trucks. This definitely fits the list, and you did a great job.

Did you notice the checker plate and indicators on the top of the fenders on the MACK?

Thanks Oztruck, yes I did. I have the turn signals, just waiting on the diamond plate.

Re: Stub nose Orange Crate

Ok, so I did a little more on it tonight. I should have paid a little more attention to the wheel base because a stock King Hauler drive shaft was 3/8" to short, so instead of a custom shaft I lengthened the front shaft carrier.

Then I finished the dash and installed it along with the seat pan and seats.

Then I made a fifth shell release lever.

Then I got my diamond plate for the fender tops, cut to fit but not installed until there painted. I'm thinking either silver or orange to match the truck, not sure yet.

Installed the mirrors and side glass.
