Looks like everyone is busy getting their crap ready for the show! I stayed @ the La Quinta next door to the convention hotel. Worked out well.

Who is all going....is this an event where people bring down their trucks to run or is it just a trade show?

If you have equipment or trucks, you won't want to miss it. Bring your toys and come play!

All days are the best days! From the time Travis gets there till we tear down there is prob something going on 24 hours a day, truck jumps, truck pulls, etc... I agree with others. you might wanna plan for at least 2 days maybe 3 ;) its fun and once you get talking to people you wont want to leave. Great people, trucks, and a great time!:bounce:

I have a weeks holidays booked for it. Gonna be there early and leave late for sure this year. After the show we have plans to tour the brickyard and Lucas stadium on Monday.:) My step daughter has tickets to a preseason colts game on Saturday night but as much as I love NFL, you won't get me to leave the hotel for sure ! :D

Looking forward to seeing you guys again and meeting a lot more of ya!

Where do most of you guys stay at...host hotel or somewhere nearby?

Re: Toy truck'n construction show count down

I booked at the La Quinta which is rite beside the Marriot, but it looks like they only had 5 rooms left for that weekend. Book as soon as possible wherever you stay,I made that mistake last year and had to stay in a dive because the state fair and motorcycle races at the Indy speedway plus our show so motels were slim:mad: the marriot is anice place to stayfor sure be sure to mention the toy truck and construction show to get better rate.

If you tell the Marriott your in the toy truck show the room costs 83.00. I just booked our room a couple days ago and that's the rate I got.

Re: Toy truck'n construction show count down

yeah , Indy 2013 is definitely on my to do list !
Last year I stayed at the Candlewood Suites , Indianapolis East ,
( in which I will stay again this year ) . For these hobby-weekends I always use my accumulated travel-points , don't have enough left for the Marriot but for the Holiday Inn chain to which the Candlewood Suites belongs . But I am not saving anything compared to others , since I always accumulate big bar and restaurant bills during such events ,lol.
It is on the same side of the road as the Marriot . Just look on google maps , look for the Marriot Indianapolis East and you will see all the other surrounding hotels .
That Candlewood is nice , since these are suite type rooms with full kitchen and such and even not that expensive , starts at $80,- ( at the moment ) . I am not such a fan of the monster-hotels , not because of the price , since most of the time its not that expensive , but you have to walk for miles in these places and for everything you have to ask extra , refrigerator , microwave etc . The bars and restaurants are nice in the Marriot .
Not the same atmosphere we used to have in the old place , but ok .
The Adams Mark was great ,
you showed up there only once a year and every waitress and bar-keeper remembered you , ( at least the hard-core party-animals , Lol )

Sure thing Joe. We have RCX in Long Beach, CA.
Come on out and join us. :bounce:

It was on June 1 & 2 this year and is coming up again in just 328 days (May 31 & June 1, 2014).

We'll probably set-up on Thursday and Friday to be ready for the show. :jump:

Why not just hop a plane & fly into the show... even if you don't have your trk there, it's still a blast to take it in & meet the ppl face to face that you've been talking to for yrs on forums. ;)

Finished my latest project on the excavator last night. Prepare yourselves for ultimate stupidity in the r/c construction realm. (I don't think it's been done before)
