http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...ps66218212.jpgas some of you might know from the thread in general discussion i purchased this truck from rod(stepside).i have a plan for this truck,nothing drastic at all .i told rod i was not going to change anything...well....here is the thing i am quite happy with this truck with the exception that it looks like a generic tamiya kinghauler.i would like to make it a name brand truck by making a few changes to the hood .not sure whether i want it to look like a kenworth or a peterbilt..i am leaning towards the pete 359 with the double round headlights.the color will stay the same for now until i figure out a design for a vehicle wrap for both the truck and the trailer i am planning to get ;):D

i think i am going to make some round visors for vegas my pete and see how they turn out..good thing my eyesight is ok and hands are steady .lol

Dwayne, Those headlights are awesome looking man great idea nobody has those on there trucks. I can't wait to see how this truck gets transformed. I have seen it at shows in the past when it was Rod's. Keep up the good work.

did a little more work today on the truck so i am giving everyone here a sneak peek at the hood so far..i will be adding an aluminum bug deflector,fender guards ,and a few other things.i just positioned the lights with sticky tape to make sure it is going in the right direction with the look i want ,so i will ask all of my fellow builders on the greatest forum ..http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...psf6e65238.jpgkeep in mind this is the old grill .i have one of russ's aluminum grills with the louvers for this truck

hey mario thanks for the christmas wishes .i am just looking at the time off..been basically living in my truck for the past month or so...its amazing the volume for christmas with us has gone up at least double or triple...we are getting hammered big time but soon it will be over..merry christmas and all the best to you and sue and your family ..hope you get some great goodies from santa claus:D this year hey this is the first christmas for you 2 in your new home..added bonus..:)

here is a small update.finally finished with the smoothing of the fenders and i made a set of aluminum fender guards and i am trying on the louvered grill i got from russ .keep in mind i still have to paint the hood and i will add the peterbilt emblems and i will make an aluminum bug deflector.i am hoping the white paint i got will match the rest of the truck judging from the spray spot i tested on styrene it looks about right .if not i will just tell everyone i hit a deer and had to replace the hood :lol: http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...ps980b7ed6.jpg

Truck looks AWSOME the changes to the hood are dead on great job. I would change out the fuel tanks make them look like one long tank. I hope to see this truck at a show beautiful job.

here is another update for this build ...almost finished .i noticed there were no air horns on the roof( how long have i had this truck now:o)so i got some and using 1:25 scale aluminum moon eyes hubcaps for cars i attached them to resemble air horn covers,its a trick i used for all of my trucks,i added the chrome flame decal and the oval peterbilt emblem.i also made the aluminum bug deflector as i said previous .i just have to add and wire the headlights and signals.oh btw thanks rod(stepside) for texting me the paint code he used to paint this truck..here are some pics

Looking great Dwayne, very nice job on the little details like the air horn covers and bug shield. Nice job on the fender guards also, I say put some Pete logos on the fender guards, just my opinion tho.
