Cascadia
So I'v decided to join the Cascadian club. The biggest deliberation was: a choice of color. After several tries and errors, I'v settled on two tone, metallic candy apple and champagne. Here are some pictures of what I have so far.

Re: Cascadia
Thank you, guy's.
I don't know how about you, but I love those people, who rush into hobby, buy everything for the build including fancy upgrades and then let it all collect dust on the shelf. Why do I love those guy's? Because it ends up on Craigslist and you can pick it up for fraction of the cost.Like those beautiful aluminum wheels, I could never squeeze $160 for a set,no matter how much I love them, but on Craigslist someone was selling a King H. and all the possible upgrades with it. Hello... Here I come. I think those wheels look beautiful on my new Cascadia. http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/...623DD80003.jpg |
Re: Cascadia
Well, I'm almost done.In general it was a fun build, except for few little things that I would off done differently, but who can argue with tamiya. The biggest issue for me and I totally agree with 540-MAN (sorry, don't know his first name) MFU controls in a fuel tank is completely stupid, you cant see them and you can't get to them unless you lift the truck up. My solution was to install separate cut off switch and the best spot was a place where you suppose to mount the antennae, here is the picture.

Re: Cascadia
Thank you all guys.
As for the paint I used both: champagne was Tamiya acrylic and red: Testors laquer, followed by three coats of testors clear coat. |
Re: Cascadia
Great build Jack, you really made that fleet style truck look like an owner operators truck. Great color combo as well.

Re: Cascadia
Thank you very much guys. Your comments are the best complements a man can ask for, for they are coming from highly professional people, who know their trade. I love this forum and most of the things I have learned, I learned from you. Every time I see a nice build I get excited and want to build the same or at least close to the same quality.New ideas, upgrades, modifications and scratch built parts, all the "how to" came from people who posted and mostly, who shared the info and "how to" with others. For me this forum is constant source of inspiration and the list of thing I want to build,is getting longer and longer.Thank you, all.
