Yellow Zonker Update "NOT FINISHED"

I got this killer truck off my good friend Rick 2 weeks ago and I just doing some minor changes to it but leaving the color the same as the paint on it is perfect and has a very cool effect in certain light. So it came with no tranny so I set it up with a R2 tranny and a 55 turn and a 20 tooth pinon I also switched to a set of Brian's steps and Steve's perfect air cleaners they are the most perfect scale air cleaner out there and a set of Jon's picket stacks on it and I built a custom drive shaft for it. Radio gear I went with Castle sidewinder ESC and a 2.4 with a 645 servo. Here is what i have for now I am waiting on the stacks they will be here this week and I have to finish the lights.

Well got sometime today between 2 builds i am working on for a very good friend of mine. I got my pipes in from Stylen and go a set cut down and mounted on the Zonker. Also polished the shiny stuff up and I drilled and mounted the cab lights as I am working on the lights next.

I am running the lights on the truck and trailers on 7.2 and they will turn on off my 3rd switch viva a battle switch very easy to work with and pretty small.

Thanks Much Rick I am glad you like it.. The dock lights are bedazzle jewels glued over a 7/32 drilled hole as they are 1/4 in the OD I will mount the flat faced LEDs to the back of the jewels with some CA..

Thanks a bunch, I appreciate it.

The decals were done for me by Silvio (skl1cent). Super easy to work with him, and get exactly what I wanted.

I had a whole album of pics of this truck (the 1:1) compiled by the time i got to this point, and sent them to him. He was able to scan or do whatever it is that he does to shrink and scale them to my truck.

Wow, looking sharp Paul! Like those lights on the back of the cab! Are those jewls going to be transluscent enough for the LEDs to shine through?

Nate yes they will shine threw the jewels they are not going to be super bright but just like they should be if you had them on a 1:1 and you had the dark red lenses..

Re: Yellow Zonker Update..

Well I got alot of 90% finished projects and newly started truck and trailer builds so I am trying to clean up a bunch of the 90% finished projects and this is one of the.

I added 1/16 oak plywood to the polished alum decks and drew in my board lines and bolts I have also added my load straps so when I have the trailers stacked and I have a boat load of prewired LEDs on the way to finish many lighting projects like this one.

Here is what I got so far.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...icks/003-6.jpg

Ok on to the next projects while I wait for the lights.
