crumb rubber

Hi guys,

Could someone tell me what type/size crumb rubber is used at Indy and other meets and possibly a good source where to buy in the US. With my research it seems it is gauged by mesh size. Also how uniform are the particle sizes? I'd like to get some for use in the garage on rainy days. Plus, I've been thinking of building a screening plant and was wondering if it would be a good idea to use this stuff or not.

Thanks in advance.

About 1/16 diameter or so. About 9-18 mesh

Entech is my source.
2-1/2 cubic yard sack
Approx 2100 lbs

Not sure about current price

Yes ideal. Driving on it is not for the all wheel drive but pushing digging and dumping is great.
They have one step finer and several more coarse.

An alternative is with litter. Tends to pack a bit so driving is better, but the dust is gritty and harder on our equipment.

FYI shipping will cost your more than the material itself.

a good place to start looking is a tire dealer. they send junk tires to be recycled . thus ground clean rubber.
