JD 8320

It's never too early to start testing your equipment for spring planting. Just finished redoing this one. Enjoy!:D

Very nice video, and nice work on that JD, Rob. I like the working 3 point hitch. Is it servo operated? If so, how much torque does a servo need for lifting something like that planter?

Nat, I used a Hitec 645MG....it is place under the seat. At 4.8v, it has 107in oz of torque. I don't know if i over kill it, but i also use a CC bec to draw more power directly to the servo. Now it doesn't kill the spd ctrl'r when lifting the planter.

I will take some pics of the innards and post for ya. I used a Tamiya gearbox driving a wedico diff. Had to do a lot of shaving on both the diff and the tractor to get it to fit.

Looking forward to the photos. I always wondered how well a semi rear end would fit in a row crop tractor, after they became so popular for the articulated tractors.

Great conversion! Do you still have the differntial in the rear axle?

Wow, that's a whole lot of mechanical and electrical equipment, crammed into a really tight space! Impressive, but it doesn't look very easy to do! And you are still able to keep the cab interior; is there anything you can't convert to RC?

Nate, its not too bad of a conversion. After these pics were taken, i remove more of the metal from the tank area to fit the ESC in better. The tractor fits back togethe very well. I had to take some area out the bottom of the cab, but the upper area is all intact......can't see any wires.

I'll post some of it reassembled tomorrow.

Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks for sharing Rob. I see a lot of guys who don't share their secerts, when it comes to these die-cast conversions, and that's not you. You truly are promoting the hobby.
