Shorten wires on equipment once you have a decent layout.
- get the body work done
- lay in the large bulky items first ... aka a speaker if it has an mfu
- lay in the smaller items - making sure you have access to the batteries
(good point here - some trucks the battery is buried - therefore they don't change the battery just kill power to the truck and hook up a charge lead)
Once items are situated - adjust the length of wires cut em back and re-solder the plugs

servo wirees are the worst! the plugs are a pain!

i was thinking of a bottom plate for the chassie from
the back of the cab clearing the drive shaft to the fithwheel
then a nice cat walk with the battery hidden there

The battery pack between the rails will work. That's what i'm doing with a plate to "hide" the battery.;)
