Union 76 Ball
 

Started building a scaled down version of a Union 76 gas station sign kind of a side project. I took a plastic light fixture globe that I found at the Home Depot and traced the logo onto the ball. Then masked it off and painted it on. Eventually when I'm all done the sign will light up and rotate on a pole like the real thing. Still need to buy the gearbox and vacuum form a few parts (when I finish building the vacuum forming machine that is)

Thanks. Originally started the vacuum forming machine project to make a few parts for the Tonka Winnebago I'm working on (need to make an AC unit and some cabinets inside it). Hopefully I'll find some more uses for it after that. Was thinking of using it to form the lower portion of this sign where it connects to the pole.

Thanks guys, glad you like it. I'll get some more pictures posted when I get the gearbox ordered and build the rotation mechanism
