Great job on the truck and really nice photography!

I'd go to the movie theater if I could find it playing.

It was a limited release by Turner classic movie or TCM and Lowe's/Amc Cinemas. They are re-releasing old movies in theaters, two per month I believe. This month it's Some Like it Hot with Marti Lyn r Monroe and The Original Godfather. Next month so far I heard its Ferris buelers day off.

Love the truck paintjob! You really nailed it. it looks AWESOME, the picture of it sitting on the gravel, looks like it could have been a publicity shot for the movie.

Hi there, I’m new here and I’ve been searching hi and low for a thread on the snowman’s truck, there’s a few questions, what bumper did you use, hood grill and lamps as the truck in movie had round twin lamps?

I can’t see your pics as my internet is playing up :( thanks James

That is an amazing job, what did you make light covers out of and how ? Also is the original truck brown or black ?

You are spot on with your truck, it’s awesome, hope you don’t mind all my questions? I noticed you cut your sleeper down? Will the mfu kit fit with this sleeper shortened ? I appreciate all your help by the way

Re: Smokey and the Bandit Truck and Trailer Replica

i haven't tried to fit the mfu yet. may have to go with servonaut or something

Hi, have you managed to fit the mfu yet? I still don’t have a truck but I want to get as much information as possible first, now you shortened the sleeper is there room for battery? I don’t mind about not having the interior, as long as the tamiya mfu fits . Thanks James

If i didn't know better, with all the necro posts i'd think you really wanted to build a Snowman outfit...

You can fit smaller 2S lipos that have similar or better Ah ratings than the stick packs these were designed for.
There are other options than the MFU that might fit your needs
You could swap the 3speed for a straight gear reduction, or even a 2-spd to gain more room under the body.

Check out some of the Day Cab builds that are full of options. If they can do it, tiny sleeper shouldn't hold you back too much
