does anyone remember steel cowboy that james brolin and rip torn was in he had a black 70's white western star with a red stripe which is what that tractor is in max overdrive only thing is this truck has an old a model kw bunk on it

ok guys how about this one does anyone remember the movie WILLA starring debra raffin as willa and john amos as the guy virgil who taught her to drive clu gullagher was also in it and by the way yes that is the truck from steel cowboy and how about HIGH BALLIN with jerry reed and peter fonda filmed in canada that truck stop in it is called the fifth wheel truck stop and its about 15 mins from where i live

That would be Over The Top. We are forgetting a few more fellas come on....I have everyone of those movies mentioned in this post in dvd and some on blu ray. Now for the movies you gentlemen have forgotten....

Big Trouble In Little China ( You know what Ole Jack Burton always says....)
Think Big (with those dumb barbarian twin brothers who drive a Peterbilt threw the film)

Waterworld (had a needle nose Pete turned into a boat)
Armed And Dangerous (the guy with the cabover Ford hauling rocket fuel)
The fast and furious (the end high jacking scene with the Peterbilt)
The Road Warrior (the black and red Mack)
Stop or my mom will shoot(sly stallone has a chase scene in an ol pete)

That is just what I can remember. If you guys like IMDB.COM (Internet movie database) and you ever have a question about some vehicle in a move you'll love IMCDB.ORG (Internet movie car database). It will tell you every vehicle in almost every movie, even if it just drove by. Usually the have a still screen shot of the vehicle which helps tons with our hobby in recreation of trucks from movies or tv.:D This thread rules by the way, i say we sticky all trucker movies for inspiration for builders who haven't seen these awesome movies and trucks.

anyone remember the gem "rolling vengance?", also filmed in canada, not a big rig per-se but cool none the less, especially when the pto auger goes through the van and the bad guys in it ;)

I watched the movie Real Steel last nite and Hugh jackmon drove around an International daycab box truck. It had windows at your feet that had window washers on them

OK, you're all going to think i'm really throwed off because this isn't a movie.
Or a t.v, series that has a plot, but how about Trick My Truck...they pushed out some fantastic truck's.:D And just for the heck of it, Ice Road Truckers.
And since we're on the subject of truck's, how about truck songs?

I could list a bunch of these songs I grew up listening to these riding with my uncles in their semi's. I also hate to say it but my favorite truck I like to ride in with my uncle was his Ford L9000 with the big cam Cummins. They used this truck to haul logs to the top of the hill when they were logging in southern Indiana cuz the two Petes could not make it up the hill with a full load so the Ford pulled the trailers to the top of the hill then they hooked up the other trucks and we headed home. Now on the road was another story that poor Ford was wide open trying to keep up.
