Dude, from where did you get those rubber tracks? I've been searching for something similiar but with no results.

Your build look cool, seems bigger scale this time. You make everything from wood?

Re: New build d11 cat

They are from snow thrower and the wood is just for mock up will be steel on real one

Re: New build d11 cat

Never would have thought that these tracks can be from snow blower, what is the size of these?
If you make it from steel then it is going to be a nice machine! Looking forward to see it running!

Re: New build d11 cat

the reason im using these tracks is for the ability to push dirt every dozer vidio i have seen here the dozers are to lite and have no traction and cant push much dirt i want to play with mine and move a lot of dirt and theses tracks will hook up harder than any steel track i know its not as real but it will be much more funtionall

Skeeter, gotta look at the date of last post sometimes. In this case the last post was over 5 years ago. Just saying you may not get a response if people are no longer members, out of the hobby, etc.

hay skeeter what are you guys using for motors for the tracks electric

Re: New build d11 cat

On my Bruder D4 conversion, I used old servo's. The potentiometers were fried, but the motors were good. I just removed all the excess junk from the case, leaving ONLY the motor, then removed the limiting pin from the gears. This method requires a Sabertooth controler (OR similar ESC) to control them.

On the Bruder D11 conversion that I will be starting sometime, I am planning to use these.

skeeter 11-27-2017 12:49 PM

Re: New build d11 cat

WOW, 60#! You may want to try the local auto wrecking yards, & try to get some wiper motors. I've heard of guys using them for motors in the BIG boys like that.
