Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
Looks like she needs some weight for traction. BBs in tires should do the trick. Looks like the tires don't have a problem slipping on the wheels. Are the wheels beadlocks or just glued?

The axles and brushless gear motors look powerful. Thanks for sharing the videos. Haven't seen anyone post videos of this loader working yet.

Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
Unfortunatly the tires are only glued.
If it would be fixed by beadlock it would be easier to add some weight in it. Sorry about my German question: what do you mean with BB? |
Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
Ball Bearings or Lead Shot

Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
If the tires are the same as the Stahl 922, which I believe they are, there solid tires. So weighting them won't be an option.

The tires are from AFV-Modell => Goodyear 29,5R25 GP-4D

I thought about this, disatvantage the noise you have while the wheels are truning. Water plus antifrize is may be an option. I will discuss at the weekend with friends. May be they can work out the back end weight from fully brass. At the moment it´s plastic filled with lead shot. |

some more pics from the set up.
to fix the fenders on both sides I placed a screw in the back of the front end. with a smal water-level I could adjust it. http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...6635316364.jpg |
Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
Most holes are drilled, but the winding must be cutted.
http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/al...3861393363.jpg I use a old drill chuck to hold the Thread cutter. |
Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
The hydraulic parts have just enough space in the frontend.

And the rear end is filled with battery, pump, oil tank and so on.

That interior is much more cramped than I had imagined. I was hoping it'd be more roomy to make maintenance easier.

Very nice running machine, great build!
That Jung pump sure is quite, fast and smooth even running at 18 to 20 bar.. where could that pump be purchased separately? Are you running the pump at 12 volts/3s lipo? Do you know how much electrical current the pump is drawing with your setup? Thank You very much for sharing! |

Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
Hi, best thing to contact Frank directly.
The pump is on his side: Jung Pumpe http://www.fumotec-shop.de/images/dscf0832_160.jpg I run the Komatsu with 3S 5000mAh Lipo. My Futaba RC-System is not able to mix to chanels as V. It would be the best to run the pump smoothly just with small speed and only power up if pressure is needed. But my FX18-1 can´t do so. So I have to save my money to buy a RC-System which can do so. |

It is disappointing how many radios don't have very many mixes available on them. i prefer 7 mixes.. 3 for hydraulics and 4 for sound. (6 sound mixes for an excavator) |
Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
The power will have a peak starting the engine, so it´s better to run slowly.
|
Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec
Very nice machine! I need to learn how to use these mixes you guys are talking about. I have plenty of radios that can do it, I just can't :(
