Nice:) Can't wait to see it installed.

I checked the site from where you ordered the tires, but unfortunately i didn't find the right size (D 173mm, 75mm, inner D68mm). I will ask them if they are making custom size tires.

Re: 990 cat loader

I've been taking the weekends for myself lately (well trying , got the next job started this afternoon  ) . So, I finally got to make new wheels for the new tires  In steel no less :D . each wheel and tire assmbly weighs in at 4lbs 2oz , so I'm adding almost 16lbs when you figure the difference . It'll 60+ lbs now . Process pics from start to finish .

Thanks Tom , the tires slip over the bead (barely ) to a nice snug fit . Its almost impossible to pull them off .

I put 1 on the back this morning and no more squishy tires :D I'll post pics later in the week all painted and mounted .

Okay steve. I get it. Watching your video from "cabin fever" it looked like you were operating with a flat tire. :D

WOW what a difference a thicker sidewall will make, the stance looks much better!

Do you have two extra of those tires & will they fit the Mammoth rim?

ihbuilder 07-31-2014 07:25 AM

Re: 990 cat loader

thanks Joe , I wanna get them dirty :D

No extras . I got them off RC machines . They are made by Barnausen.de ,I think, I tried contacting them with no luck , so I went through RC Machines . I waited a bit for them :( but worth the wait :) . They're just a tad narrower then the mammoth tires but will fit if you cut the webbing off the wheels .

Re: 990 cat loader

Tires look great steve! I looked thru your thread trying to find out why the front fenders are not painted and all I found was "the painter didn't do it". Will you do this later? This model will look great with all the things you have planned next.
