Truck and Radio covers

I just wanted to show everyone the covers I made for some of my trucks. I still have more to make but here is a start.
I like the quilted material for protecting the trucks during transport

I start out with 1 yard of quilted fabric.

Trace the outline of the truck 1/2" to 3/4" over sized all the way around.

Cut it out.

Then measure the outside edge of the outline except for the bottom this will give you the length for the center section the width is 1" to 1 1/2" wider than the truck.

I like to pin it together and check for fit. Once I am happy with the fit then I will sew it and hem up the bottom.

With the leftover I can make a matching bag for my radio.

And also some moving blankets

Very nice idea. That would nice to keep the dust of them.

That's a great idea. Now, if only I could sew!

Did you remove the centering spring on your radio's left stick?

Sewing is not that hard. If you can weld you can most likely sew. The hardest thing is setting up the machine after that punch the gas and go. LOL

I moved the centering spring from right/left to up/down this will keep you from having "cruse control" but will also stop a lot of accidents by having a centering stick on the throttle.
