Road train challenge

At first I thought this was a model, but after watching it a few times I realized it's full size.

Does a model exist?, who fancies having a go at building one!

Hi Elliot, the closest thing I have seen is Ulrich Kenworth w EasyLoader Roadtrain so you could say it's been built but with the addition of a dolly it would be the same:D

Have a look at the lego version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOdXM...eature=related

Cheers Tracy

I saw that awhile ago and i swore it was RC to. I think its cause the video is sped up and all the tires are brand new and its very clean that its mistaken as RC lol.

And yes i would love such a trailer but i could imagine the price tag!!

That's what caught me out, plus its kind of filmed from above, like most RC stuff is...

Hi Tracy,

Wow, how far has lego come on since I was a kid.... I remember playing with technical lego whereby you could build a car, but this has somewhat moved on!

I noticed the tractor has "central tire inflation" on the tandem's. Haven't seen that modeled yet. Cheer's, doodlebug.

Those must be some heavy duty fenders, to use them as ramps like that. On the real rig, I mean.
I wonder what the light weight (tare) on this truck/trailer is? 46,000 lbs?

That Lego build of a completely functioning "fold trailer" was Outstanding!

Just watched this and it looks pretty neat. It does look like a model truck but it's actually real. It would be good to look at if somebody builds one as a RC truck.

Hey Lil Giant's, watch the video again,(2:00 minutes) when they show the close up of the tractor tandem's, there are air hose's sticking out from the drive hub's to an arm. They can adjust the tire pressure on the fly! http://auto.howstuffworks.com/self-inflating-tire2.htm Read the CTIS blurb. No offense taken, just seeing the small stuff! Later, doodlebug

That's alright Elliot, we all overlook what's under our nose at times, I was just teasing, don't let that impair your posting. :p
