My King Hauler

I like to share my King Hauler with everyone. I wish I could claim that I built it, but I can't. I found it on eBay.

It's an older RTR build, but in great condition. It came with all of the electronics including a Tamiya 56501 "Electrical Unit Set", which controls all of the lights, and backup beeper.

To get it running I had to replace the Futaba 75 MHz receiver. Next I replaced the the tired 7.2v NiCd battery with a 3S Lipo. I noticed the Novak ESC was getting pretty, even on short runs, so I replaced it with a Tamiya TEU-105BK. finally I replaced the 12t Diamond motor with a RC4WD 65t.

It's really a pleasure to drive now, and I'm looking forward to getting to run with some of you guys at an upcoming show.

Rob

Thanks Ken. Whoever built it had some great detailing skills.

Great looking truck, I think it would look great with a vizor, but 3s!? That thing must haul!

Actually it does have a visor, but it fell off during shipping, and I haven't put it back on yet.

Changing the motor from a 12t to a 65t really slowed it down to a much more manageable speed.

Nice looking truck you have there. I didn't use the decals from my KH build.

Thanks! Since I bought the truck RTR, the decals were already on it.

Thanks, I'd sure like to have a trailer too. Maybe Santa Claus will put one in my stocking!
