My King Hauler
I like to share my King Hauler with everyone. I wish I could claim that I built it, but I can't. I found it on eBay.
It's an older RTR build, but in great condition. It came with all of the electronics including a Tamiya 56501 "Electrical Unit Set", which controls all of the lights, and backup beeper. To get it running I had to replace the Futaba 75 MHz receiver. Next I replaced the the tired 7.2v NiCd battery with a 3S Lipo. I noticed the Novak ESC was getting pretty, even on short runs, so I replaced it with a Tamiya TEU-105BK. finally I replaced the 12t Diamond motor with a RC4WD 65t. It's really a pleasure to drive now, and I'm looking forward to getting to run with some of you guys at an upcoming show. Changing the motor from a 12t to a 65t really slowed it down to a much more manageable speed. |
