Are those o-rings on the back wheels - which happen to look like the hard plastic Ertl impelement type? Needed some extra grip? Nice Wedico drive rims and tires too!

Awesome Build! Do you plan to model it loosely after a Cat forklift? Cant wait to see it working!

Thanks I kind of started building it just to see if it would work and it works pretty good.

Yes those are O rings on tires off of an ERTL 1466 International. We turned them down in the lathe and made a grove for the O ring.

I will probably call it a CAT but I just started building it and this is what I have so far. Click on the first pic and you can see a short video of it working.

What is the lifting mechanism on these fork lifts. Is it cables, or screwdrives or something else??? can you show us some detailed pics of that .

Pic 2 from my first post. It is a cable lift operated buy a continuous run servo with a drum mounted to it.
