Re: kiwi king hauler

Oh I see you are well into the construction side of things! I would love to get myself an excavator and loader etc as I am in that industry, but the getting the cost of one past the missus is another thing lol. I like where you are heading with your setups. Also good to see more kiwis one here, I know there's a few of us out there but apart from the one facebook truck club, I am unaware.

Keep us updated!

yeah the cost side of it is an issue, I tend to scratch build all of the one i can, the others. well I find sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness after the post man turns up LOL.

Looking good Andy! Certainly have a good fleet there. Where bouts are you blokes located? I think there's probably quite a following here in NZ but all hidden away from the "other half's" I look on this site and see the meets both in the US and Germany, etc and see how they are well patronized and celebrated and wonder if that would happen here too? Such a cool hobby to get into, but as already spoken of, prices of freight here and the value of our toy-town currency puts us on the back foot where as purchasing some of the more refined kits comes into play.

Sorry Andy, didn't mean to hijack your thread.......keep them photos coming mate! I love seeing builds from here in NZ and home-town influence.

no worries , I agree . we need local meets.
at the moment it is me and my two boys and a couple of their friends when we get the urge to play.
I like the building side of this hobby , not so much the " dad I broke it can you fix it "

but it is a good healthy hobby, way better than the playstation.
Im located in pokeno 1/2 hour south of auckland.

cheers andy

ok, update time, fitted reduction box, made a dolly out of an old flat deck.
6 wheel drive, 35kg dozer on low boy and this is the result.
