Bulk Food Grade Tanker Mirror Stainless.

Started this one a few weeks ago or more.. Main body is 4 inch PVC with a pug and then ran the ends threw the router table.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...004_193149.jpg

Bent up a alum channel on the break for it to sit in..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...004_193116.jpg

Then dug threw the parts bins to find the necessary parts to make it roll and chopped up a stock set of trailer rails..

And WA LA we have a roller..

Re: Bulk Food Grade Tanker Mirror Stainless.

I made the pointed end caps by cutting out a circle out of alum "witch ill sand and polish" the cutting a slit from the edge to dead center then started forming to get the shape I wanted then using special auto body metal to plastic glue set it on the inside of the outer tanker skin..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy031/003.jpg

Then using my roller I rolled sheets of mirror stainless from KnS tighter then they need to be for a tight fit and fixed them into place on the bottom side with 1.5 grub screws.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy031/002.jpg

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy031/005.jpg

Going to try to stay about 98% metal or alum other then the inner tank on this and I will stick to the little more show side of a stock tank..

Ok more to come..

I like your creativity, will this look like a Jade transport tanker when finished ?

Really cool concept and neat way of creating a tank without all the weight Paul!

Smart build!:)

Right now I have most of it done just a little left before I take it apart to polish some parts on it so here are the picks.

Side shot you can see it is all finished up I made a ladder out of brass fenders all mounted up and a set for the rear hammered out and mounted..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy033/001.jpg

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy033/002.jpg

Fenders slid onto mounts..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy033/003.jpg

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy033/004.jpg

Front fenders are move able to fit other trucks.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy033/005.jpg

rear T bar for some bling with light bezels to follow as I light this thing up.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy033/006.jpg

I still have marker lights to drill holes for then I can get it polished up.

Thanks Much Ed..

Little update on the Food Grade yank tank.. I finally bit the bullet and spent my hole Sunday wet sanding my alum parts and painting what little bit of frame there is then stood at the buffer till my face was black and I think it came out pretty good. Now the brass ladder and the PVC tank cap a good buddy of mine painted them chrome at his Street Rod Shop he has now before you guys send me 100 PM's on what paint it was like they did on Facebook I don't know and it was expensive.

So here are some picks it is not done lots of detail and light to do...

I used to pull one of those as a part time job. No baffles in a 45' trailer 80% full of milk is not something you just yank down the road.

You did a really good job replicating those tankers.

That tanker looks great Paul, awesome job. She would look good behind the cab over international in my opinion.

Thank you very much Tony.. I cant wait to get the lights on it and then with the lights from my bunk lights on any of my trucks glowing off the front it should look pretty sick..
