Joysticks out the WAZZOO! CHEAP!
I'm done Dickin around with radios,& spendin a ton on them. THEN! They still don't do what I want. So did some diggin in my bone yard today.
& came up w/4 joysticks. All's you need is a couple of these. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4435.jpg One of these. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4436.jpg Now here's the tricky part. If you place them just right against each other. It's almost like it's ment to be. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4437.jpg Then add tape! http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4438.jpg Now be careful not to cover the important stuff w/the tape. Man!! You won't believe how nice it works! You can reach all 4 sticks at once! http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4439.jpg Now when you Boys are done laughin, just remember this when you want to be able to feather control a bunch of different things on your build. Ive spent a ton of doe on radios & can't non of them do what this does. I used this today to set up my plow truck. Good thing I don't have another hand,I'de been touching my own stick, when I saw how good this worked! :D Just thought I would share this CHEAP FIX! FGD |

Re: Joysticks out the WAZZOO! CHEAP!
Freddy - only you would come up with needing 8 full channels on one truck and not have a trailer attached.....

FGD Good On You ! You can't wipe the smile off my face with a shittty stick right now that is very cooool. Need some video.. I thought about using two radio's for my log loader, one for the undercarrage and one for the house, no messing around with a slip ring....

Re: Joysticks out the WAZZOO! CHEAP!
Freddy,
Us Aussies say K.I.S.S.??? Translated it means Keep It Simple Stupid, exactly what you have done. :p :p Me I would have used a very large hose clamp :D :D because it is reusable  the tape is not   John |
Re: Joysticks out the WAZZOO! CHEAP!
You're gonna have to change your handle to Cooter.

Re: Joysticks out the WAZZOO! CHEAP!
Interesting. Why not run one radio with your feet, and the other with your hands? Or better yet, take the radios apart, rig the pots to a steering wheel, gas and brake pedals, and some levers, all bolted to a chair? :D

Re: Joysticks out the WAZZOO! CHEAP!
So now, that you've had it for a bit, hows the model working. No glitches from the 2 transmitters being so close to each other or having 2 recievers in the same model??

Re: Joysticks out the WAZZOO! CHEAP!
Def a good budget set up for a first time builder.
