Bruder Delta Loader Conversion (my version)
Well first off I would like to personally reach out and E-Slap :p you guys for making the ideas flow in and the dollars flow out :D.
Enough of that. So my first project will be converting a Bruder Delta Loader to RC. I will be following in the footsteps of SmallHaul and his fine example. I won't bore you will the details of the tear down but, I will be posting pictures as I reassemble. So hang on here we go...:) Alan |

Re: Bruder Delta Loader Conversion (my version)
Now I have a question for you guys. For this type of control (buckets, lift, etc) how do you set up your radio? With the spring centered sticks do you set everything up so that in the neutral position the lift is at the bottom of travel and the bucket curl is parallel to the surface? Or do you remove the springs? Or what?
Thanks Alan |
Re: Bruder Delta Loader Conversion (my version)
Nice work Alan, it is looking good.
i use the right stick for drive and the the left stick (throttle channel) is used for the lift without a spring loaded center so that you can leave the lift up or down without holding it there...and the left stick (rudder channel) is kept spring loaded..just set the trim so that the bucket is up as far as it can be at center. Have fun. |

Right now I have the left side setup for forward/backward and left/right. The right side is set up for lift and curl. For now I am going to leave it that way to see how I like it. Just have couple of more things to complete and it will be done. Have computer issues so I can't post anymore photos. Alan |

Thanks for the comments Ralph. My next project is going to be a King Hauler day cab dump. After that I hope to give a scratch build of a Cat 320 Excavator a go. Alan |
