Scania R620 8x4*4

My first custombuildt truck, a Scania flatbed with dollie and trailer.

I started to buy two flatbedtrailers to make one longer.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/PA251796.jpg

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/PA251797.jpg

It is 90cm or 35.4in.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/PA261803.jpg

The us look of the flatbed doesn't work for a euro style truck so it had to be changed.
Standard.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1291859.jpg

This is what it look like now.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1291860.jpg

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P7052026.jpg

I made some side protection to make it road legal.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P3151891.jpg

The dollie is filled with batteries and electronics from Servonaut. Unfortunately i didnĀ“t take much pics on the dollie build. It's just the back half of the frame to the 620 kit.

A few pictures showing the difference between my trailer and a standard flatbed.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P9262132.jpg

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P9262133.jpg

I needed to make the wheelbase a little bit shorter.

Re: Scania R620 8x4*4

To the truck :)

An almost finished frame, a bit longer than the standard Scania 470.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/PC251827.jpg

I changed the servomount so it will be like the us trucks, that is so much better.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1031840.jpg

Because i have steering on the rear axle i have to have a servo thier to.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1031833.jpg

Battery holders and fenders are in place, i have two batteries on this truck.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1151851.jpg

I have no idea what these parts are called in english, in Sweden we just say VBG wich is the manufacturer.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1151853.jpg

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1151852.jpg

Because this is the King of the road it had to be the Topline ;)

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1151842.jpg

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...0/P1151849.jpg

One of the first test to see how long it would be, it is 170cm or 67in.

Re: Scania R620 8x4*4

Looking good, will the 4th axle be steered from first axle or with an seperate servo?
The VBG is a company manufactoring trailer couplings and drawbars. They are among the biggest on market today.

Thanks!

The 4th axle have its own servo and shuts down when i lift the axle.
I now very vell what VBG is, i use their products every day at work. Didn't think it was called coupling and drawbar, it was little too easy :p

Unfortunately not: (This VBG went down after a short time so I switched to a Wedico made instead. It has art: No 422. http://www.wedico.de/eng/zubehoer_fahrgestelle.asp
Gardentrucking may have it?
