LOOKING GOOD!!!

RCLogger 08-14-2010 04:27 PM

OUCH ! Joe it has been up to 33 C here which is about 91 F and that is too hot for me to go out and operate equipment in the sun. But 104 F ! I would be leaking like a Dam full of holes.... I feel for you !

There predicting 108 tomorrow. It's just not fun to be out in that anymore, geuss I'm getting too old. Heat index (what it feels like outside) is 122.

JAMMER 08-14-2010 05:21 PM

Joe in that kind of weather you better watch it we don't need you to go down again your no spring chicken any more. Ed

dirtpusher9 08-14-2010 05:37 PM

Thanks for reminding me Ed. lol

fhhhstix 08-14-2010 06:05 PM

I feel for you I spent all last week in 95 deg heat wearing a leather welding jacket repairing a material handling bucket. For those that don't know what a material handling bucket is it is a light duty over sized bucket ment for light weight material such as mulch or corn glutin. That is suposed to be a winter project not during a sever heat index warning.:(

dirtpusher9 08-14-2010 06:18 PM

That just ain't right Travis. A man shouldn't have to work like that. I guess I'm spoiled being in a 140h with ac all the time.

I had several people wanting me to build them a dozer like mine, so after Indy last year I wrote Cat to see about licensing. They emailed me and said that do to the economy that they weren't doing any licensing and besides it was very exspensive, but they liked the one-off. So I just forgot about it. A month later I get an email from the top model builder of Cat models in the world, CCM (Classic Construction Models). They said that Cat had suggested that they (CCM) let me build under there license and they would market them for me. I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD RIGHT ABOUT NOW. We talked on the phone a couple of times about how we could go about this. They finally emailed me the other day and gave me the details on what they were willing to do and the bottom line is that there is no way that I would make anything on these models, in fact I would go in the whole bad on each one by the time they took 10% off the top for Cat and 20% for CCM and my labor. So I guess I just build one-offs, but I thought it was quite something to even be recognized by both of them. I didn't expect to even hear back from them when I first wrote them.
