KAT China excavator owners. Please take a look at this and let me know what you think?

http://img04.taobaocdn.com/imgextra/...!607252093.gifIt looks different from the previous pictures I've seen. In particular the tracks and the bottom rotation mechanism. There is also a picture of someone standing on top of it to show it can handle some weight? Click on link below for further information. http://www.buychina.com/items/2014-t...rd-yprnpnqllii

I think that is great but load bearing is not really the main thing when it comes to excavators.

What is the width & length of the track pads on the excavator? Would this model be similar in scale to a Cat 365 BL?

Thanks

Hey I think it might work as a good starter machine, chassis No hydraulics etc.
$ 1820.00 at the door step not to bad. Just wonder where it will end up in running condition ? Smart spelling "KAT" by the way.
Wonder if I need one like this hmmmmm.

i thought this price included hydraulics and running gear but no controller. its hard to interpret the little English written in the ad. if you translate the product review it reads

Dynamic operation can be carried out after 2 This product does not contain the remote control without battery hydraulic oil, hand painting machine has been assembled fuselage completed, hydraulic systems and power transfer parts of its own wiring requires players to debug, install the remote control.

please correct me if im wrong cause this is also on my list to buy :)

nah no worries i also thought the same thing when i saw the photos, thinking it was a bit expensive without the hydraulics included for a china item. especially as cam mentioned oztruck got the older model with hydraulics for that price

but if you can decipher the sellers ad i think it includes the running gear minus controller, battery and oil

here is the link to buy the bare machine
http://www.buychina.com/items/2014-t...el-xvoronqllki

but Im going to try an confirm with the seller what is included as im also not 100% sure on the kit

i have do some more browsing on the digger and found it on the original sale,
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=...id=37687719696
you will have to open it in google chrome and translate the page unless your Chinese.

interesting enough i found for the same product here is cheaper.
¥ 8600.00 is 1479.44 Australian Dollars compared to the one on buy china for 1744.01 Australian Dollars, (both these prices are excluding postage.)

i wonder if anyone else has tried to buy from here????

thanks for the reply chris, its a shame you have to buy items through a agent when buying from china, but still the price of the digger is cheap compared to others.

On the web sight that the link takes you too, it list the price as $1500.

But that only for the steel frame and the functional hydraulics, you still have to purchase separately the motors, pump, servos, hoses, batteries and radio gear.

Thanx Chris. I was looking at it ealier on my phone & it didn't show anything more than the 1st page. ..although I did find the locater button to see they're from Salt Lake City, Utah... that'd be about a 10hr drive from my house. :)

$1500 for a shell  I'd have to see one in person to decide where to go from there for track drives & what not... I guess it depends on how resourceful you are, what you need to buy to make it work & what your expectations are as to how well it should work will determine the final cost.

Looks like their considering to design and fabricate a front shovel... I'd definitely be into getting a shell of that model!

It's fantanstic to see such a company so close to home starting to make models for my hobby. :)

Thanx for posting the link Crash, what a great find!
