Re: D10T Build
Love the detail. Are you modeling all this or scanning?
Either way nice work! |
Re: D10T Build
What size link pins are you using. I never could find proprietary pins. Had to have them made.

Re: D10T Build

Someone asked me about the strength of the model when its done so i grabbed a scrap piece from this build (lower chassis part) and took these pics to share. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/--...2B20.22.41.jpg Im 200lbs, and am balancing myself with my hand on the counter while my wife took this shot. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-8...2B20.21.10.jpg These parts made of ABS can be very sturdy, as you can see ( this part is not even constructed with the most dense filling that can be utilized). Of course not as resistant to wear as metal but like i mentioned i will use metal in certain areas, and would prefer to build the whole thing out of steel, but dont have the energy for that and wanted to do a full 3D printed build of some sort and this happened to be it. Atleast this way I can cut the build time in half and do something not yet done.. Anyone seen a 3D printed Dozer yet? |
Re: D10T Build
You can check this scanner out, http://structure.io/ I have to get a new phone before I can try it out.
Cheers, Neil. |

Jason,
it looks great. :jaw::jaw: I can hardly wait for what's next. For those parts of my 3D printer would take longer. Manfred |

Thank you Sir, Got some of the body assembled. The platform which the cab sits on is a snap on deal with detents, and the center hood will be removable to access battery. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-b...2B11.38.27.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-O...2B12.35.45.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-K...2B20.43.42.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-_...2B20.43.59.jpg Have a few dimensions to go back and adjust and reprint on the motor housings, then should be ready to finish cutting the track roller shafts (24- 4mm) and assemble the undercarriage. |
Re: D10T Build
Nice work. I would put the head of the track pins facing out, looks better to me anyways. Also what is the cost of the material you are using for the printer, and any idea of a finished cost?

Re: D10T Build
That is looking great!
