NEW Trackloader?

This question is for the Tamiya guy on the board......is the new carson/tamiya trackloader planned for distribution in the US, if so, is there and ETA?

Rob that has been out for a little while. Scott has one. It's pretty sweet

Been offered over seas, but heard rumor that we might get them here in the US, talked to Tamiya, they said no, only importing trailers. Its the electric version, non-hydraulic.

Rob, I wish they would import these models to the USA. Like other Carson products though, I have doubts it will ever happen. You can still order them from a variety of places, in Europe. Some do ship to the USA.

Re: NEW Trackloader?

Are you guys serious?? What would the price tag look like? If there isnt a price for us US residents what would a ballpark figure look like? Ih builder and rc farmer you guys could build them yourselves and with hydraulics and i imagine you still might be saving yourselvesa few bucks. You guys have some amazing pieces you have built. Plus this one looks like it has slow cylinder movement.

Re: NEW Trackloader?

With 1 price tag less then $2000 with some other things in my shopping cart from the same place , it's hard for me to spend the time building the base model . I got a whole day into 1st op on track links for 2 excavators . And that was the easy part  now to put 460 back in 2x2 for 2nd op and 1x1 for 3rd op :eek: . not to mention I got 7 construction models on the bench in various stages of assembly :eek: . So I'd rather have a kit model for a change in scenery for once .;)

edit : I priced that without the electrics and lift components. I plan to put my own setup in ;)

rob, have u checked with willy? At indy he looked over mine and was going to look into bringing some into the USA.

The track loader is freaking awesome when u put in the hydro kit.

the electric does actually fairly good.
yes , I can get them . Roughly US $ 3000,- shipped.
I changed some of the mechanics , since in its original state it can only dump the bucket if the traverse is all the way up . On mine I can dump the bucket now in any height of the traverse . I also did NOT use the Carson electronics , I used individual ESC's .
It has plenty of power. Need to do a few more modifications , then I can post a build report ( when I get the time ).
Also found some cool screw-drives , which look like hydraulic cylinders . Did a toy-excavator conversion with them ( also shown in the videos , unfortunately only a short clip , since I run out of battery on my camera and it was to darn cold to continue when I filmed that , ha )

Note : the dirt I was digging around in ( when I started ) was hard packet ground !
I like how this track-loader performs .
I may change the gearing for the bucket-drive to have a faster dump-action.

Nice set up! Could you share the link to the screw drives?

Thanks, Kent

Guys, is there enough interest to do a group buy? Willy, do you have plans to import more of these models? Just curious, but asking in a serious way. I'd rather have a hydraulic system on the model, but perhaps if there is enough interest, we could do a few of each? That is, the linear actuators, and some hydraulic?

There is no real good link for these , but I gone put some info’s together soon .
Cost is roughly US $75 – 95,- , depending on size ( length ) .
I am planning a new section on my website for construction vehicles and parts.
There are also some cool small ESC with current limiting function for these screw-drives available . So no tricky functions needed to limit these screw-drives at the end / stop .
These ESC’s run around US $ 25-30,-

Yes sure , I can get them . And there is a hydraulic conversation available as well.
