this is a bucket and arm I built for my 4200xl |
Re: 4200xl buckets
Just placed an order for a heavy duty siberia bucket. I like the fact the teeth are replaceable on it

Re: 4200xl buckets
Sweet looking forward to installing it should arrive tomorrow end of day. TTM in Germany also carries some nice looking parts for the 4200xl

Re: 4200xl buckets
Sure is but then again nothing comes cheap in this hobby...even more so when your dealing with Cdn currency :(

Re: 4200xl buckets
Was browsing on rcbrmin and noticed they started carrying the same quick coupler and ripper that TTM sells but for a whole lot less! Just ordered myself one of each :D

Re: 4200xl buckets
So how is the blue rcbrmin quick coupler holding up for you guys? Does it work well and do you like it?
The only thing that bugs me about it is that the adapter that attaches to the bucket doesn't appear to be sold separately, so if I had a Siberia bucket in addition to the stock bucket, or other accessories I wanted to use, I'd have to buy a whole new coupler unit just to get another adapter. Or make one myself, but that doesn't seem like a good use of my shop time. Jon |
Re: 4200xl buckets
That's correct you would have to order another quick coupler if you plan on using more then one bucket. The quick coupler and ripper are well built, the only thing I didn't like was the blue so I had mine powdercoated black. Besides that they are well built.

Re: 4200xl buckets
Very nice! I don't like the blue either... Thanks for the pic, it's nice to see a close-up picture in another color.

Re: 4200xl buckets
Thanks Jon, the only downfall to having it powder coated was the joy of having to spends hours filing down the coating in certain areas to get everything working right again.

Re: 4200xl buckets

Re: 4200xl buckets
Wow, that bucket looks great! I was thinking of a grey bucket with green teeth like the excavator in this pic, but I like how you left yours unpainted...

Re: 4200xl buckets
Thanks Jon. I actually had the bucket teeth machined they aren't the originals, these were actually machined out of a steel block.
http://i66.tinypic.com/qycrj4.jpg You can see the original teeth in the back http://i68.tinypic.com/2e1wtn7.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/2ijgdjb.jpg |
