made a tank and smal problem?
i made a oil tank for my loader the other day fit fine and dosen't leak, but
there is this every showing lair of oil on the top of the tank around the fill hole. and it kind of bothers me, why doe it do this? is there a fix? and what did i do wrong? |
Re: made a tank and smal problem?
It may be as simple as a little over filling.
Oil does heat up in any hydraulic system and will expand as your pump works. Try draining or syphoning a little oil out and then run it. Just trying help |
Re: made a tank and smal problem?
Did you vent your tank? Install a small vent tube somewhere behind your tank.

Re: made a tank and smal problem?
I ran out time to edit my post but as an alternative you can use a small engine fuel tank filter like this one probably available from anywhere.

Airplane fuel filters will work, that's what Fumotec supplies with his hydraulic systems.
