New Stretched Flatbed Trailer from Stepside
Got this in Friday. My good buddy Rod aka Stepside built this for me. I'm just doing the finishing details. This is my second trailer I've bought from him. First one was back in '07. This one is longer and better for sure! It measures 41.25 inches long. I cut the wood for the floor and my wife and kid sanded, stained and polyurethaned it. Here are some pics

Re: New Stretched Flatbed Trailer from Stepside
Got some freetime to work on the trailer this weekend. I added some hub covers and rub rails to strap stuff down. They turned out pretty good I thought. Also did some more polishing on it. Now I'm just waiting on some toolboxes from Rod for between the spread axles...

Re: New Stretched Flatbed Trailer from Stepside
7 and 1/4 approximately
|
Re: New Stretched Flatbed Trailer from Stepside

|
Re: New Stretched Flatbed Trailer from Stepside
He needs to post pics of the one he did after mine. It turned out much nicer than mine!
|
Re: New Stretched Flatbed Trailer from Stepside
I have been corrected..... It's a scale 122" spread!
|
Re: New Stretched Flatbed Trailer from Stepside
Did you use spacers between the rub rail and trailer? And bolts to screw into the side?
looks mighty straight :-) |
Re: New Stretched Flatbed Trailer from Stepside
Yes the rails are screwed to the sides with machine screws. For spacers I used rubber servo grommets that I had laying around. I was going to make aluminum spacers but didn't see taking the extra time to cut them. The grommets seem to be just fine.

Put some polish to the boxes. Hard to get the shine indoors with my iPhone. Try to get some better ones outside soon!
