RC Truck and Construction - New guy from St louis MO

Greetings all!
I'm finally in a place where I can afford this branch of the RC hobby.
I started off in big rigs with a knight hauler and traded it even for a full function tamiya battle system sherm. Mostly because no one near me ran big rigs and they just arent that much fun alone.

I really started RC in 86-87 when I got my first a used monster beetle. After that the sickness took hold and never let go.. I now have almost 50 rc's Mostly drift cars and trail rigs, a few vintage buggies sand scorcher, wild one, hot shot. I also recently got into FPV Quad racing.

Fast forward a few years and I scored a heck of a deal on a chrome king full light kit and flat trailer with lights. 400.00 delivered to my door.

So I guess I'm back in the game! LoL.

All said.. I am a metal fabricator that mostly does 1:1 trail righs and sports cars but I'm looking to scale that metal work down and make a few things.. I think I'll start with a lowboy trailer and then take the plunge to something heavy.. A bucket loader, bulldozer or everyones fav the excavator. I've already done tons of reading and researching build threads. I think I'll do like I wsaw someone here do and get a bruder and use it for templates on my first build but I definitely won't keep the bruder.

Anyway I'll quit rambling and get back to reading. Nice to be here and I hope I can link up with like minded people near me.
