Leimbach cyclinders
Does anyone Know if the leimbach cyclinders can be rebuilt ...are they glued together and can they be taken apart?...If yes then how?

Re: Leimbach cyclinders
I've taken one apart before. I clamped rod side end cap in a vise just tight enough to hold it securely, but not distort it's shape. Used a small butane torch to gingerly heat rod side end cap to soften glue & with a screwdriver through mount hole on other end cap, twist back and forth till it starts to move, then unscrew.
Leimbach uses a two part piston seal, I doubt that'll need changing. The U cupped seal in the rod side end cap, don't know where to obtain that. |
Re: Leimbach cyclinders
good to know Joe. I wondered how they went together.
I have asked you in the past but have forgotten, do you use compresser gear oil in your pumps ? greg |
Re: Leimbach cyclinders
Thanks for the info joe ..We found a good supplier here in vancouver for seals for the pumps...Im pretty sure we could proably find the right ones for cyclinders as well if we look hard enough ...Do you know what type of glue a person would use though ?...Thanks Lou
